on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Workshops, Lectures & Panels

The content and turnout for workshops this year reached an all time high.  Nearly 20 film industry professionals

from Louisiana and California covered topics including acting, writing, film editing, and financing. Thanks to all our speakers and guests for taking this year’s programming to a new level.

We were lucky to have the beautiful Brunner Gallery as the setting for most of our workshops this year.

It was also fortunate for us that members of the “Dirty Politics” crew were able to make time to participate as speakers in various sessions.

On Sunday, October 4, “The Business of Film Production in Louisiana” closed OFF 2008’s

workshop programming with a bang, bringing together 8 professionals from various aspects of the Louisiana film industry for a rare group discussion. The panel included (from left to right) John Anderson (Andertainment Group), Chris Stelly (La. Dept. of Economic Development), Blaine McManus (Maxxim), Veleka Gray (moderator), David Crais (Celtic Studios financial management), Kevin Barraco (La. Film & Video Magazine), John McDougall (Film Design), Liz Dunnebacke (NOVAC), and Susan Brunner (Chamber of Commerce Cultural Economy Committee.
